I take this opportunity to voluntarily provide a recommendation for and endorsement of Dr. Flavio Rasetto. I met Dr. Rasetto some 11 years ago at the University of Maryland. I came to him after 15 years of working with a variety of dentists and presented to him with a history of ill-fitting dentures, a crooked smile and general frustration with my past experiences.
First, Dr. Rasetto's chair-side manner is both unusual and exceptional in that you can feel his genuine caring for his patients. He puts you at ease, takes the time to determine what the problems are, presents several options to you for a solution, and if other professional services are needed which he does not provide as a prosthodontist, he will make a referral of someone whom he knows and has worked with. Over these years I have been unwavering in my appreciation for his technical knowledge and skill but also over this time I have come to trust him implicitly and count him as a friend. My list of true friends is not long. He encouraged me but did not try to push me to have implants because of the past difficulties with dentures in my lower jaw. He recommended a implant specialist with whom he had both trained and worked to perform this surgery but he came to personally check on me to ensure everything was going alright. He did an immediate placement of the partial over the implants so that I had no downtime. While it took me a long time to decide on having implants, I am thrilled beyond measure at the results and of course my smile about which I receive compliments on almost a daily basis. You can not ask for a more caring and knowledgeable professional who recognizes that learning is a continuing enterprise. He stays aware of cutting-edge innovations in the field of dentistry and prosthodontics for the benefit of the people he serves. I say serve because Dr. Rasetto is an humble man and even though he has now gone into private practice, which sometimes changes how people respond, Dr. Rasetto is the same caring person who takes time to ensure that you know what is needed, what he recommends to resolve the situation and that it will be done with great expertise. I have been a patient of Dr. Rasetto for about two (2) years. After years of mediocre to incompetent dental treatment I needed a total reconstruction of my teeth. I came to see Dr. Rasetto through the recommendation of an oral surgeon who assured me that he was the best prosthodontist in the area. My case was very difficult as it involved teeth extractions, bone grafts, sinus lifts, root canals, implants, and finally crowns and bridges. Dr. Rasetto carefully planned my extensive treatment and I knew exactly what to expect before and after each procedure. After evaluation of my situation Dr. Rasetto gave me three (3) treatment options to choose from, and discussed each of them with me in details. Now my extensive treatment is complete. The services rendered exceeded my expectations. Everything came out perfect - The three unit bridge (supported by 11 implants) is beautiful, natural looking, and very functional. I can finally eat whatever I want! Dr. Rasetto is an exceptional prosthodontist. His meticulous craftsmanship is unmatched by any specialist I have visited before. His superior level of knowledge, technical excellence and artistic sense have given me remarkable results - not only natural-looking teeth but renewed comfort and self-confidence as well.
